Hello everyone!

I’ve decided to host a contest. Basically because I feel kinda sad lately and I would love to receive some art of my characters. I’m pretty sure that will cheer me up a lot

The characters

So far I’ve only got rough flat colored refs of them, but those should do for now. These two are Tala, a female wolf and Cheveyo, a male cheetah. They are the Wyrns of Azura and Brandon, my main characters from my novel. A Wyrn is something like a totemspirit, being the spirit part of someone’s soul. The bond between a person and his or her Wyrn is very special, in such a way, they can’t be seen as individual characters. This makes Tala and Cheveyo react to each other in the same way Azura and Brandon do. Azura and Brandon have been best friends for seven years.

To give you a general idea of their characters:  

Azura (15 years old): Azura is a little bit instable as she suffers the consequences of a reactive attachment disorder since her parents disappeared when she was only 5 years old. Therefore, her emotions are often all over the place and she can switch from happy to enraged within seconds. She usually gets along with everyone and trusts others easily. However, she has difficulties bonding to other persons in a deep emotional way. She only allowed a few persons in her life, including Brandon. It’s easier for her to befriend animals than people. She's brave and knows what she wants. She loves insects, especially dragonflies.

Brandon (17 years old): Brandon is madly in love with Azura. He kissed her once, but she backed away really quickly and since then he doesn’t dare to make a move anymore XD He does everything to protect her and is very cautious and distrusting when confronted with others. He’s also easily jealous when it comes to the attention of Azura. Brandon worries a lot and is a man of emotion. He has a fear of heights, loves to cuddle and is generally very headstrong. He loves painting, especially landscapes. Animals tend to hate him. 

Tala and Cheveyo basically copy the characteristics from Azura and Brandon, so you might get some inspiration from these short non-spoilery character descriptions   
 
The theme

The theme is friendship. It’s a very broad theme and I would like you all to explore it thoroughly. You have every freedom to choose a location, situation and emotion. They could be even snarling at each other for putting their own lives at stake, that’s friendship as well, being worried about each other. Make them interact, make it interesting and if you want, you can put a little story to clarify their behavior in your description.

On top of that every participant will receive a little gift from me, since they cheered me up with their art. This gift will be a little loose headshot of their character ^^ Like this one:

Rules

• You have to include both Tala and Cheveyo in the art piece.

• Every kind of media is allowed! Traditional, digital, written, photo manipulations, animation, everything!

• Entries have to be made specifically for this contest. Only new entries are allowed.

• You are allowed to make as many entries as you wish. There's no limit! However, you can only win once. (So not both first and second place).

• Only finished entries are allowed. No stick figures please. I want to see that you put effort in your entry.

• No gore, porn or anything inappropriate. A bit of blood is fine though.

Entries will be judged on creativity, on execution and on capturing my OC’s characters. If anyone wishes to donate prizes, send me a note! Donations are very much appreciated and will not exclude you from participating in the contest ~
